After qualifying as a Chartered Management Accountant I embarked on a successful career in industry that gave me the opportunity to work with some great businesses and some great people across the FMCG, food and agricultural sectors.

In 2023 that career came to a sudden and unplanned end when I suffered a brain injury as a result of a cycling accident. What then followed was a challenging, unpredictable and uncertain period of recovery.

During my recovery there were 3 questions that, due to the nature of brain injuries, no-one could answer - "would I recover?", "how long will it take?" and "how will I know I'm recovered?".

I quickly realised that the only person who could answer these questions would be me, qualifying and becoming accredited as a coach and setting up a Coaching & Leadership Development practice has allowed me to do exactly that and after 2 years of pushing myself, challenges, setbacks and successes I could confidently say I was fully recovered!

An unintentional, but incredibly important, outcome of becoming a coach has been the enjoyment, fulfillment and satisfaction I get from coaching, knowing that I have made a positive difference - something that was always important to me in my previous career - and this is what nenegate is all about, making a positive difference, put simply it's about helping individuals and organisations be better at what they do.

Central to this is recognising and leveraging the human factor and the potential we all have within us, if there was one thing I learned in my previous leadership roles was that getting the best from both yourself and others can be the difference between success and failure.

As an accredited professional coach with a Post-Graduate Certificate in Coaching for Behavioural Change from Henley Business School and a certified group and team coach along with 30 years of management, leadership and industry experience I feel uniquely placed to make a truly positive difference to individuals, teams and organisations.
